Over more than 30 years, Hatsumi Asaka has directed and produced a wide range of television programs across Japan and the U.S., collaborating with major broadcasters and creating content that spans news, sports, interviews, and documentaries.

Japan (1983–1992)

Worked with leading national networks:

Produced and directed over 100 programs, including:

  • Zip’s (Travel magazine show for Japan Airlines)
  • Catch Up (Entertainment news show, sponsored by Marui Co. Ltd.)
  • TV commercials for FOR LIFE RECORDS and NAMCO (creator of Pac-Man)
  • Storywriting for video games for NAMCO, developing new concepts featuring comedians from Yoshimoto Kogyo

U.S. / Japan (1992–present)

As a New York-based producer/director, I have worked with:
